TIPS AND TRICKS

Here are some helpful hints and recommendations.

Burner included with the smoker :

Gel alcohol fuel (fondue) is recommended since it allows a longer burning.

Canned burner (wick burner/heater) :

This model provides a more uniform heat that can burn up to 6 hours. It is safer than the fondue burner since the container stays warm when lit. In addition, the risk of fuel leakage is lower because it is not necessary to fill it.

Butane burner :

Among all burners offers on the market, this is still the best choice since it is possible to adjust the heat to the desired degree. This choice is ideal for all types of meat or fish.

For an efficient smoking, make sure to find a windproof location. Moreover, as soon as the breeze comes up, do not hesitate to increase the heat of your fuel.

CAMPING AND GASTRONOMY

You can easily smoke your vegetables to enhance their flavors.

Ingredients:

A liter of water

A cup of coarse salt (stir to dissolve well)

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/2 cup of maple syrup

Spice it up to your tastes (optional)

Preparation:

Soak filets between 6 to 10 hours (Small filet 6 h / big filet 10 h)

Do not remove the skin of the fish before smoking

Make sure the filets are dry then place them on a parchment paper on the smoker's grid

Close the lid and let cook for 40 to 45 minutes
